The 30th Medical Group is a small U.S. Space Force clinic that provides health care services as one of six military treatment facilities in the Air Force Space Command.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of our beneficiaries through high quality, patient-centered primary care and ancillary services, while supporting polar space launches, western range, and expeditionary operations.
As a responsible and accountable partner to the Team Vandenberg mission, the 30th MDG staff of nine primary care managers serves three co-located primary care clinics consisting of a Level 3 NCQA recognized Family Health Clinic, a Pediatric Clinic, and a Space Missile Medicine Clinic. These offer acute care, routine care, health maintenance, routine physicals, disease management, women’s health exams and minor procedures, and are aligned for success with the USAF, Air Force Medical Service, AFSPC, and 30th Space Wing (30 SW) strategic vision.
In addition to health care services, the 30th MDG offers several specialty services. Our Immunizations Clinic offers routine vaccinations to all active duty, retirees, and their family members. The Physical Therapy Clinic is outfitted with state of the art equipment and performs musculoskeletal evaluations and rehabilitative services to restore optimal physical function for our active duty personnel. Our Optometry Clinic offers routine eye exams, contact lens fitting and treatment for eye disease and eye injury. Our Dental Clinic provides general dentistry, oral surgeries that require conscious sedation, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, limited orthodontics and preventive dentistry to our active duty personnel. Our Mental Health Clinic offers care to our active duty personnel and limited services to family members with a focus on providing individual psychotherapy, tele psychiatry, marital counseling, and substance abuse treatment services through Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment and the Family Advocacy programs.
The 30th MDG has several ancillary services such as pharmacy, laboratory, radiology and a Health and Wellness Center (HAWC). The pharmacy offers innovated medication dispensing services through a remote ScriptCenter and optimal patient safety through its IntelliCab radio frequency identification tracking systems; radiology provides common diagnostic exams; and the HAWC offers nutrition services, tobacco-free living, healthy eating, and diabetic education programs. Through a strong commitment to excellence and accountability, the 30th MDG is dedicated to its patients’ wellness through the delivery of personalized health care, focused support services, continuous self-evaluation, and performance improvement initiatives.
